On today's episode of #JOANDAY, I go grocery shopping! I've been seeing a lot of hoarding in the news, but in #Seoul, the shelves are full. My mom & I picked up what we needed and made Jjapaguri for lunch.

South Korea has handled this so well. Putting hand sanitizers everywhere even inside the bus, no unnecessary fright against toilet paper, giving wipes for the cart, such a heart welcoming situation. i literally just came back from my every-two-weeks grocery shopping trip 10 minutes ago and I get the notification for this vlog, great minds think alike 😂. still very strict controls here in Italy (we have to have a permit to go out where we state our full name, where we are going, the address from where we are coming from, and have it signed it by a police officer if they stop us for controls. a new addition was that today the grocery store staff wasn't letting in anyone who didn't have a mask and gloves (but they were giving them out if you didn't have it). we are slowly getting to a better place than we were a couple of weeks ago, and stores fully stocked since the hoarding phase everyone went on is over, yay! on the bright side, since I'm stuck alone unable to spend easter with my family due to the lockdown, I've been experimenting with cooking and at-home workouts, even picked up drawing again after months. we're all in this together, sending you lots of positive vibes, take care j💜🖤

I kinda wish I was in South Korea... you guys have been handling the pandemic very well. As for here in Jakarta I don't even go grocery shopping anymore and all the shopping is done by delivery, and you can barely find any hand sanitizers since a lot of people have been hoarding it since the early stages. I haven't left the house in 24 days! So watching your vlogs is a way for me to de-stress.

I always see in the newscast how well they are handling the virus in Germany, South Korea and Japan. Here in South America, there are countries that are having a very bad time. Hundreds of deaths per day, luckily me and my family are in Uruguay where we had a President who is a Doctor grade 5. In the last 15 years, public health is one of the main and best in the country and in Latin America. Although we are a small country, our population is mostly elderly. So you have to take good care of yourself and others. We are different cultures, there is the difference in how we behave in the face of this kind of thing ... all love and health for all! 💖💖

Abigail I don't know where you've seen it, but the Japanese government is not well in control of the current situation. Currently, Japan has announced an emergency. Japan has so far measured significantly lower inspections for the Olympics, and since the Olympics were postponed, the number of confirmed cases has exploded despite the fact that it has not conducted as many tests as other countries. Currently, the U.S. government has sent a message to American living in Japan asking them to return to the U.S. as Japan is in danger due to their lack of Corona handling. I don't know which country you are from, but be safe from Corona! 🙏🏻

I'm in the US and we go to the supermarket every three weeks. We are a 6 person family so even tho we try to buy a lot so we don't have to go out, we run out easily. We're not panic shopping. It's just so we don't have to go out in this lock down. I'm from nyc and it's been really bad here so I'm scared to go out. I hope it gets better soon 💕

Your vlogs are always so good and calming to watch. It seems like the situation was well handled, here in my country the situation is a mess, there where a lot of hoarding , the masks are out of stock everywhere and people are reselling them at ridiculously high prices , there’s regulation about prices but pharmacies are not following them, hoping that the federal government put in work so the state gov doesn’t have to deal with EVERYTHING bc that’s just impossible.
