I like the colors that Big Twist offers and it is soft. I used the toffee for dolls before but gave up on it. I didn’t like that it couldn’t be put in the dryer and that it pilled. That’s a drawback for the dolls that get played with and other projects that I gifted. I guess it’s not such big deal for the display dolls. I also use the post earrings and small beads. Most of my dolls for adults have their full set of accessories (hats, purses, earrings, necklaces and bracelets). I pick up whatever I think will work when I find it on sale. I need to get that dark Poly-Fil.

I used to original Polyfill for stuffing home made pillows. I've never heard of dry or dark Polyfil. I will have to pick up some. And I purchase small earrings studs from Amazon and use them not only for doll earrings. But as broaches on my dolls dresses and jacket lapels. Thank you for the suggestion on earrings for a childs doll. Right now I'm concentrating on dolls for elderly ladies. But I've received several request for a a childs doll. Before I agree to make one, I need to inform myself on tips of how to make a doll that will not contain any accessories that may be a chocking hazzard. Thank for all that you do. You are greatly appreciated.

The dry fiber one makes it feel really firm and the other is more squishy. I’ve been wanting to try the darker one☺️

Great Haul 🌻 You are going to like the dark polyfil, I have been using brown and green polyfil for years. I ordered mines from BattingMart, their polyfil made from recycled plastic. They also sell Fairfield as well.

I found Toffee a few weeks ago nd was really excited. I just used it on a new pattern. It works up really nicely. If you are looking for it, it has been renamed "Sugar Almond". I love the dry polyfil for my dolls. I mix it with the "regular" polyfil. I find it helps keep me from overstuffing. I will have to look for the dark polyfil on my next trip to Joann's. I need some of that dark polyfill. 😀 I have a question. I recently purchased your book. I absolutely love it! I was wondering were you bought the pearls(?), jewels (?) that you put on the mermaid? I want one identical to yours. She is gorgeous! 😍😍😍 I am so excited to make all the different hair styles (and dolls) in your book. Thank you for the support. The jewels are from Michaels. I believe by Bead Landings but they are normally at the end of the aisle in the circular container.

I found the Poly-Fil for Dolls in a Wal-Mart. This Walmart had an amazing craft section which is pretty unusual, most Walmart’s have scaled that department down. I do like it for dolls but not necessarily all dolls. It is definitely not as squishy as the regular kind but it packs and shapes really nicely.
