Dear Joanna, I admire your courage and wonderful attitude towards everything, that you do, with feeling and enthusiasm! This lake "Nasser", has a surface-area of 5,250 square kilometres, as opposed to the other artificial lake, Lake Volta, in Ghana, which covers an area of 8,502 square kilometres. It was, for the people of Ghana, just as big a sacrifice, to lose even more land, at the time, but now, they are exporting electricity to many other African countries! . I lived in the UK for47 years, but returned to Germany, because of the deteriorating work-situation and the poorer getting manners, esp. lack of respect for pensioners like me!

Oh my goodness. Thank you so much Joanna for this wonderful discovery. You're an extraordinary woman full of joy and passion for history. However, i feel pain to see how the history of the Nubian pharoah is left to waste away while westerners have spent millions to preserved the ones in Egypt thinking that those are different - probably made by the Arab invaders?, no, not at all!! The Pharoah' s families were all black Africans whether those in Egypt or in Sudan or in Ethiopia. The world wants the traces of the world's oldest civilisation to waste just because it's African?

Egyptian Pharoahs were never black Africans, but the south of Egypt were nubian just like today, and Egyptians were north african just like the lybian, only blacks just saying that, why did not u make a civilization in Ethiopia or in Central Africa, and build a pyramid, I'm sorry to say that, but this is an inferiority complex, to jumb over others achievements.
