I do agree with you though that the cross is not where it ended but I must share my testimony. I was saved 20 years ago in a machine shop. I was in despair and the holy spirit had been convicting me. At one moment I felt myself sinking into a pit (literally losing all hope). All of the sudden I thought of Jesus and a vision of the cross came to me. I cried out for rescue and knew he would save me. That night I was giving this testimony in front of a congregation. I am grateful for what he did.

Thanks for uploading this. We couldn't make it to church today, so we were listening to Keith Green and Joanne Hogg for our worship time. Wish more christian artists had words and music as strong as this.

Absolutely amazing song, sang and played so powerfully. These old songs have a touch of the Almighty on them, it's an anointing to worship a God that sent His ownly Son to die in our place. Hallelujah.

Joanne Hogg has a marvelous gift of which the voally-gifted members of the body of Christ can reap benefit. It's a shame you never hear her band Iona on American Christian radio.

She is also the singer of "Kokoro" the song played at the end of Xenosaga Ep I, she is awesome!

To Kaytha (part two of the lyrics): Thy world is weary of its pain; Of selfish greed and fruitless gain; Of tarnished honor, falsely strong, And all its ancient deeds of wrong. Hear Thou the prayer Thy servants pray, Uprising from all lands today, And oer the vanquished powers of sin, O bring Thy great salvation in.

@jirah222 It is the Book of Kells but is called The River Flows. If you like Iona look up Open Sky- another excellent album. We have met the band and Joanne Hogg called her son Isaac after meeting our son Isaac! Excellent music- in particular Dave Bainbridge

Almighty Father, who dost give The gift of life to all who live, Look down on all earth’s sin and strife, And lift us to a nobler life. Lift up our hearts, O King of kings, To brighter hopes and kindlier things; To visions of a larger good, And holier dreams of brotherhood. Thy world is weary of its pain; Of selfish greed and fruitless gain; Of tarnished honor, falsely strong, And all its ancient deeds of wrong. Hear Thou the prayer Thy servants pray, Uprising from all lands today, And o’er the vanquished powers of sin, O bring Thy great salvation in.

I haven't been back to my youtube site in awhile so sorry for no reply's.I am sorry it offended you, it certainly wasn't my intention. I find your question strange though. Jesus, nor any of the apostles had any problem talking about the cross,Paul referred to his sacrifice often. And it is only through His Blood shed for us and what he endured from the crucifixion that anyone has any hope of truly escaping the snares and sorrows of this life. Should we all pretend it never happened?

How come she sang on the Xenosaga Episode 1 soundtrack, for a game series labelled after phrases from the atheist Nietzche?
@MeteoXavier4 жыл бұрын
Because she worked with the composer of Xenosaga Episode 1 beforehand and has enough of a brain to know that a subtitle alone is not enough to say no to a good career opportunity? No reasonable person would do that.
@rtg_onefourtwoeightfiveseven Жыл бұрын
Xenosaga unambiguously rejects the ideals put forth by Nietzsche.
