Is this pattern good for a scarf??.......It's lovely. Thanks for tutoring us on this one.
@JoannesWeb7 жыл бұрын
Yes. It will look nice for a scarf, just make sure you make at least 6 rows of garter or seed stitch at the beginning and about 4 stitches on the sides.

Is there a way you can get the pattern? I love the stitch and always a great teacher.
@JoannesWeb7 жыл бұрын
I will start a cowl with this. Use circular needles and around 121 stitches for a small one. (Multiple of 11) Of course, all the purl rows on the wrong side (even number rows) would have to be knitted because you're not turning your work. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKivnZZphburj8U

Hi Joannes, I tried this pattern for a scarf...The pattern looks great except the scarf is curled up one the both side of the edge...You didn't mention on the video about the curling edge, now I don't know how to fix it? do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
@JoannesWeb7 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can crochet an edge around. or you can pick up stitches with a circular needle and knit 4 rows of garter or seed stitch.

I'm starting to knit again after over 35 years! I would like to make a scarf from pattern (Heart Knitting Pattern How to Knit Hearts) Does this pattern curl? If so, can you suggest a border to add on sides and bottom? Thank you!
@JoannesWeb5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Phillis, it does curl. You need to make about 4 or 5 stitches on the edges of garter or seed stitch. Also at the beginning and at the end. Every time you have knit on one side and purl on the other, it will curl. Purl stitches tend to be tighter.

i would like to make this onto a wall hanging. i see the bottom looks rolled. what boarder would you recommend using?
@JoannesWeb7 жыл бұрын
You can knit 4 to 6 rows of Garter or of Seed stitch. On the sides, knit at least 4 stitches. It would prevent rolling.
