I am gay and I can never understand why you have to let your family know that you are gay to be accepted. Do you introduce your boyfriend or girlfriend and said I am heterosexual? To start your parents are the first ones to know your sexuality, but sometimes are in denial, but they know. I can never understand this, why do you have to ask people to accept you for what you are. You do not to be holding hands or kissing in public all the time, the same with heterosexual people. There is alway the place and time to show your love for each other, I believe in decency, either you are gay or not.

Carmen Gomez Mmm well when my niece came out we were really suprised because she had a lot of boyfriends in the past. Looking back she knew she felt safe to not have to explain but we also never asked. We just had to accept it as her relationship grew. In this case I understand why some people want to have that conversation, they just have different relationship s with family. Everyone has different reasons why they want to explain their relationship its also theraputic I guess to some to just have that moment.
