In this raw clip, Joaquin Buckley opens up about his personal life and ultimately finding MMA through the adversity he experienced throughout his life from an early age. Buckley first speaks on how he worked overnights at Walgreens before he made it to the UFC, and his constant schedule of working, taking care of his grandmother who was diagnosed with ALS, and training martial arts to keep his mind right. Buckley goes on to open up about how everything in his life essentially happened to him for a reason including when both of his parents passed away at different stages in his early childhood. Buckley explains how through the negative experiences, he always found ways to turn them into positives and as a result made it to the UFC. Buckley concludes by explaining how he feels death shouldn't be looked at as a negative thing, but as something that is necessary in life to help you find your ultimate purpose.
