The Karnataka cabinet has approved a bill mandating 100 per cent reservation for Kannadigas in private sector for Group C and D posts, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said. The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting held on Monday. "The Cabinet meeting held yesterday (Monday) approved a bill to make recruitment of 100 per cent Kannadigas mandatory for 'C and D' grade posts in all private industries in the state," Siddaramaiah said in a post on X. "We are a pro-Kannada government. Our priority is to look after the welfare of the Kannadigas," he said. According to sources in the law department, the 'Karnataka State Employment of Local Candidates in the Industries, Factories and Other Establishments Bill, 2024' will be tabled on Thursday in the Assembly.

The clamor for jobs for locals be it Karnataka or Maharashtra is mainly due to the failure of failed states like Kerala, Bengal, TN, UP, Telgu states, etc that push their populations into Karnataka and Maharashtra due to their own failures in creating private sector jobs. In Bengaluru whoever comes here, we adjust to their language and try to conversation in their own language or in english, if they don't know kannada. But If you go to tamilnadu, andra pradesh, telangana, kerala, north india, they tell outsiders to learn their language and then come and speak or they'll make you to learn their home language. You go outsiders to other state then you'll come to know which city was better. However outsiders came here and spoiled our language, culture everything. Only 20% outsiders in Bengaluru respect our language, culture. I have seen nepotism everywhere and in most of the companies in Bengaluru. People come from other state and start business, companies here, flood people from their state and hire them not because they're skilled but they're from their state language, and they get 100% - 150% increment in their salary and Kannadigas who are already working in companies, they get less increment like 5% - 30% in their salary and they say it's confidential, so not to share about your increment to anyone and they don't even hire Kannadigas because they already started flooding people from their state. I have seen such nepotism in many companies in Bengaluru and suffered just because we're Kannadigas and outsiders say we're indians 1st. Companies are not doing charity here, they're doing business here, seeing money profit everyday. If companies want people only from their state language then they can move from Bengaluru and such companies obviously move from Bengaluru and we'll be more happy, we don't want to work in such companies. But companies who want to do business here, want to see profit here then they won't move from this city because they don't want people from their state, they want skilled hard workers, so whatever rules bills comes in state doesn't change or matters anything to them. So this bill must and should pass in Karnataka, so that all Kannadigas get jobs and get proper increment, so that nepotism will stop.

Why is this rage against the reservation? If not Bengaluru, there are other cities that can grow and create jobs. The congress vision has always been adversely affecting the state. Instead of development they chose to provide freebies. Now instead of inviting more companies to invest in Karnataka they are forcing the companies to move out of Karnataka. Karnataka and Tamilnadu has major Engineering/Medical colleges even in 1990's compare to other states. People from other states used to go Karnataka for Engineering/Medicine admission. Any Karnataka govt so far never worried about improving the kannadigas skill set and it's more corrupted state in fact. All the political leaders corrupting with Bengaluru's income that are getting every year.

I'm born in Maharashtra but I'm more than happy to take TOEFL- style Kannada language test and i can pass it successfully i would be happy to migrate to Bangalore...I appreciate recognition based on merit!!...Nothing wrong in it....I'm willing to work hard to secure a high paying, white collar job in Bangalore.....uncontrolled migration also need to be regulated otherwise Quality of Life is affected for everyone (seeing Mumbai of 2024) 😢....South is moderately populated than High populated Northern belt!!...

This bill says 50% jobs for locals , that means no job for 50% of others who came from across India , that non 50% local people should leave state as there wont be a job.
