what helped me get my current job in banking is reaching out to the recruiter that is on the linkedin listing directly and send them a message introducing myself, telling them i applied for the role, and that I would be interested in learning more about it. They replied within HOURS and we had a call the next day. Four interviews later I had the job!

I stumbled upon your channel, perhaps a week or two ago, through your video about quitting your job as a data scientist. I almost never comment on videos (I am a certified lurker), but your introspective thoughts about your career, health, and other aspects of your life really resonated with me. I really appreciated how genuine and honest you were about what you were going through - I imagine that being vulnerable, especially on a public platform like KZbin, can't be easy. I hope you get to take your time to enjoy a well-deserved break (especially without the Sunday scaries!!) as you start this new chapter of your life! Looking forward to following along as a new subscriber. :)

Hi Julia. Im on the same boat as you. I left my tech job without another job lined up because it was too much for me. Something you said about doing so much work and not going anywhere really hit me. Glad you had sisters who you can be with while job hunting. I myself do not have any supportive relatives to help me get through this but watching your videos make me feel that I have someone. Thank you for this. Best of luck to the both of us!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being a full time content creator, we’re all here watching, aren’t we? 🙃
@kathy52818 ай бұрын
Of course that is fine! But lots of people (myself included) find that content created by people who are still working/filling other commitments a lot more interesting! Content creators can end up just creating content for contents sake whereas a channel like Julia's you get to see something such as "a day in the life working at ___" It can keep things relatable too such as sharing morning routines that fit in before a work day!
@fairdragon797 ай бұрын
@@DR-it9fmSure, but at the same time countless creators are busy creating videos on how difficult it has become to survive on content creation. Maybe their content is stale, but there is no doubt the trend that started during covid is fading.

Hi Julia, I've been watching your videos for a while and I just want to say thank you for demystifying and talking about what it's like to be unemployed and going through these transitions. To be honest, I also am going through a similar career hurdle, I was laid off from tech at a company in NYC and am going through the job search and all the fun associated with it. I started a KZbin channel and it's a way for me to self care and vent to the ether and I'd like to make it related to my transition and going through this journey with tech in the Big Apple and finding a new job. I hope to one day be as great a content creator as you. My editing is non-existent and my equipment isn't the best but there's room for growth haha If you're able to read this message, I would be incredibly honored and feel so lucky that this message made it to you. Keep up the great work and I hope to see what happens for you in the weeks to come. -EstieRamie
