Without any spoilers there is a really great gundam cameo. When one of the jaeger falls down, right next to it is a statue of gundam unicorn.. Its a really cool nod and I freaked out when I saw it. Its really cool now because of the announcement of the unicorn sequel series

fuck Unicorn at this point. I understand that it's popular but the horse has been dead for a long fucking time. The OVA was fantastic and that was about it. The actual series was utter dogshit and pointless, the models were pretty bad (especially the MGs with the sole exception of the Jesta) until around the PG, and the game was awful.
