Because you’re so focused on the explosion and the fact that the camera quickly tilts up along with the quick cut, it’s easy to miss on a first time viewing. I think the very static dummies outside the barracks when they explode are _much_ more egregious 🤣

You know what I love about this movie, especially at 2:20. These poor souls are just hired sentries. Some of them meet fates worse than the actual guys that kidnapped his daughter. It’s a masterpiece of what it’s trying to do. It’s completely unpretentious entertainment and it excels at being just that. Makes it an all time great for me. I love thought provoking artistic cinema as much as the next guy, but sometimes I just need dumb and silly (but above all well constructed and executed) action to get my kicks. This film is exactly that. Perfection!
