For everyone comparing this to Dracula. It is not. The Nosferatu vampire is only driven by hunger. To essentially feed on blood. It cannot walk in the sunlight or be anywhere near it. In fact that alone will kill it. It also has no desire to change humans into vampires. Simply to kill them to satiate it's hunger. It has limited telekinetic powers compared to Dracula. Dracula on the other hand is far more suave taking on many different forms from a handsome human to an animal when need be. He also wants to expand his army by changing humans into vampires. He is far more powerful in his abilities to overcome his victims. From mind speaking to stares of persuasion. Noferatu relies on rats to spread his disease. The bite from his fangs is typically lethal and kills rather than transforms. He's a walking infection. So those are some of the main differences between the two.

Let's also put it this way. Gary Oldman's depiction of Dracula was probably THE BEST that we will ever see. It completely showed all of the various aspects of what makes Dracula so powerful. From leading armies, to changing into a monster. Where as Bill Skarsgard will probably bring forth the best depiction of Nosferatu film has ever seen.
@_Azagoth_22 сағат бұрын
Gary Oldman's Dracula, beyond the visual flair, was pathetic. a weepy romantic who captured none of the oppressive tyranny of the book in terms of his characterization. That film made such a major mistake in trying to humanize him in such a silly Hollywood way. Klaus Kinski's Nosferatu is humanized in a much more compelling way that never betrays the monstrousness of the character.
@Emmaforever18 сағат бұрын
Gary Oldman's Dracula was romanticised. Like Frank Langella. But it was a brilliant and in my opinion superior Dracula character. However, I think Christopher Lee was most like the original character. Just because he was faithful to the animalistic presence Dracula held. He refused to speak in all but one, and didn't want to make more than two because he thought they had lost the feeling. He is definitely the scariest, he ended up making many more though so the film crew got paid. Sweet man.@@_Azagoth_

I don’t expect this movie to scare me. The only vampire story that’s ever truly scared me both in print and on screen is Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot.” I guess what I’m really expecting from this is the character development involved in a story about evil’s origin and motivation to corrupt innocence. And what people go through when facing this evil and how it changes them for better or worse, depending on who they are. It’s a nice plus if I get scared, but I won’t be disappointed if I’m not. I’m pretty sure it will still be interesting. Looking forward to it!
