One of the greatest moments of recognition of Arnold's status of iconic action star is his cameo in the 2003 film "The Rundown" starring (then credited as) "The Rock." In a moment of "passing the torch" so to speak during the opening scene of the film, as The Rock walks into a large private party he encounters Arnold who is leaving the party. Imagine how much better that movie could have been made in today's CGI era with Arnold when he was younger like in the first movie. He set the standard for action movies and everyone else just followed him. I miss those days back in the 1980's and 1990's. Hollywood does not have stars like him anymore. Thanks for all the memories, Arnold you really defined an era that sadly has passed us by, but it was great to grow up in and watch. When Arnold passes away, the world is gonna weep
@MrOrcshaman Жыл бұрын
Arnold simply is 'The Man', all he went through, the determination of what he sort to do, and achieved, from moving to america, to becoming the worlds greatest bodybuilder, to being an action star and cinema legend, to being governor of a state, and so much else. Both the roles he played and the life he lived, he's honestly one of the greats, and his determination is inspiring.

"True Lies" is my favorite movie, period. If you want to see an HD version, buy the Spanish Blu-Ray, and select the English audio track when you play it.

Okey it seems like this video is missing a few information about him, for example escape room was a hit, it was a great film, Sabotage blew up on netflix, it was on the chart of most watched film for few month and many other stuff,
@matthewdaley7462 жыл бұрын
I, actually, liked, Sabotage, but, I have a feeling the more cynical nature of the film turned a lot of people off, there's absolutely no question.
Pumping iron is a classical one from the 70s. It talks about his bodybuilding life and the stories of other bodybuilders. I like the stories of Lou ferrigno and Mike Katz.

hard to believe that commando and rambo 2 came out the same year and how poorly rambo 2 aged (still awesome don't get me wrong) and how good commando still is thanks to being so tongue in cheek truly a time capsule of the 80s

Could have been worse, Rambo III was dated upon release, the criminally underrated, The, Living Daylights, only narrowly avoided this sad fate.

Arnold Schwarzenegger owned the 1980's with his career high peaking with T2 in 1991, with only minor hits with True Lies & Eraser. He also has the unique honour of the top villain & hero with the Terminator in The Terminator (1984) and Terminator 2. Last Action Hero was the movie that first started his downfall, as it was movie ahead of its time.
