Am I right with my suspicion that professional recruitment is what established businesses use more than small companies and start-ups, which find people with personal contacts and have to be more selective to find needed skills and persons who fit well and can be productive in smaller teams. But they too can be in situations where they outsource the recruiting process to fill some roles. In the interconnected world, its possible that the needed talent and person can be found in India to join a Finland based team or company. But there must have been some reasons for these people to become aware of each other and build interest in working together.

Can i apply for unskilled job like store keeper or fruits picking jobs from India iam a graduate is there any qualification to get visa
@just42tube
@just42tube 4 ай бұрын
Applying for jobs in Finland can be done online from anywhere. In order to work as a storekeeper one has to remember that one of the local official languages is almost always used as a company language and a required skill at some level. On the job training is often available. But there are other job seekers who already have experience and training making the selection often competitive. I suspect that getting a Residence Permit for Work for that kind of job can be unlikely. Fruit and berry picking are seasonal jobs in Finland. There is a specific visa type for that: Visa for Seasonal work. A Residence Permit for longer sessional jobs is also possible.
@just42tube
@just42tube 4 ай бұрын
Visa in Finland is different from what you have in mind. There is a special process for specialists: Residence permit application for persons employed as a specialist You are a specialist if: you are coming to Finland to work in expert duties that require special expertise (highly skilled worker); your salary is at least EUR 3,638 per month in 2024; and you have a higher education degree or have otherwise acquired the special expertise required in your work through work experience or other education. You must have confirmed employment before you apply. A first residence permit for a specialist is granted for a maximum of 2 years. If your employment lasts for less than 2 years, the permit will be valid for the duration of your employment relationship.
@just42tube
@just42tube 4 ай бұрын
If you plan to work in Finland, you will usually need a residence permit that is granted by Finland. In most cases, you are not allowed to start working before you have a valid residence permit. Residence Permit is not a visa permit as defined in the Finnish Aliens Act. It is a different kind of immigration permit granted by a different national agency, the Finnish Immigration Service, under the Ministry of Interior. Visa is a visiting permit granted by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. The right to work associated with a residence permit may be unrestricted, meaning that you are allowed to work in any field without restrictions. With some permits, the right to work may be restricted in some way. Check your residence permit card and the residence permit decision given to you to find out whether you have the right to work in Finland.

How to get job as Medical lab Technician in Finland
@just42tube
@just42tube 4 ай бұрын
@@ganeshdamai118 A useful starting point would be making sure you're qualified and can get right to practice the profession in Finland. Following is an excerpt from the Valvira, national official agency, website. There's more information there and also a webpage guiding you to find details about specific professions including Medical Laboratory Technicians. "Planning to work in the social welfare and health care field To work in a social welfare or health care profession in Finland, you must usually have a licence granted by Valvira. Valvira grants the right to practise a social welfare or health care profession on application to professionals trained in Finland and abroad. The instructions on how to apply are slightly different depending on whether you have completed your training in Finland, in a Member State of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), or outside the EU/EEA. Select the profession for which you want to apply for the right to practise and select where you have completed your training for that profession. The instructions are available in English only for applicants who have studied outside of Finland."

@@ganeshdamai118 I know that medical laboratories have employed technicians who didn't have local language skills. That especially happened when the COVID-19 pandemic required laboratories to grow their capacity fast and temporarily. It meant that some groups had to change their workplace language into English. There where unfortunate complications. So this obviously wasn't a desirable situation but only a temporary arrangement. This in mind, I strongly suggest studying at least one official language in Finland. And perhaps completing studies, or top-up studies, using Finnish is the most optimal path in becoming fully employable and qualified in working in this field and jobs in Finland.

Many jobs are not purely about IT. Most jobs are about applying Information Technologies to customers problems. To understand all relevant information of the task at hand one better understand relevant legislation, users and stakeholders of the process. If you don't have the required language skills, then you need to have a project structure or working environment where translations are available for you. It can become cumbersome. Even when the project and company would use English as the company language, which isn't uncommon, knowing local official languages and the majority language has its benefits. Fluency is not required for skills to become useful.

Try to find and select material, which is using mostly vocabulary you already know and more simple language. By simple I mean avoiding idioms, which would require some cultural background to be understandable, avoiding complicated expression and also avoiding slang and dialects. Best to learn first basic grammar and vocabulary and then expand from that foundation.

@@travexplorefinland There is the small possibility that Migri certified employers can be mistakenly thought of as employers who "give residence permits". What is a certified employer? Certification proves that a company meets certain requirements as an employer. It speeds up the processing of an application for a residence permit for an employed person. The employees must still apply for their residence permits themselves and meet the requirements for the permit. Certification does not impact the processing fee for a residence permit application. The Finnish Immigration Service is required to publish a list of certified employers.

CS degree could be in principle requirement in some academic jobs or public sector jobs, where degree is needed to be considered. In business a degree is a useful background, which can help to enter a field and be helpful in some competitive selection situations. But more importantly you need to have useful relevant experience and skill set. If your skills, experience and personality are what they are looking for, then formal CS degree is likely to become more like a decorative nice to have thing. But later in your career you might still be faced with competition having a degree and having upper hand in some situations because of it.

Thanks. What about freshers in IT (Data analytics or Salesforce). I learnt the German language and applied to 300+ jobs in Germany. Everyone needs experienced people who already have work permit. Its impossible for freshers applying from abroad. What about Finland?
@just42tube
@just42tube 3 ай бұрын
Why would they need people who already have work permits? Isn't it more like just an additional task and delay in the hiring process to go through the permit application process. I suspect they prefer not having to wait or do extra steps therefore prefer applicants who don't need to go through these additional steps. This logic is probably universal. Why would an employer or recruiter take on more complexity, if they don't have to. They would do it, if : - they don't have other equally good applicants - you are just what they want to hire, so some additional work or delay isn't significant for them. - employers might already have all ready for handling their part of the residency permit for work applications so for them it's less of a trouble and no hindrance. This can make the Residence Permit application handling process fast enough to not cause significantly additional delay in getting new employees hired.

@@crazydrifter13 It also seems clear that now many IT companies and their customers have sifted their focus and growth into adopting AI technologies. This means that the hottest skill sets have changed and companies are laying out people from some jobs as they are hiring more talent into different positions. Huge demand into some jobs is followed by a downturn in demand and then some other areas become the growth centers.

You might have learned about employer certification in Finland. Here some description of it from the Finish Immigrants Service website: Employer certification If your company hires a large number of employees from outside Finland, you may benefit from applying for employer certification for the company. Even though your employees still need to submit their own residence permit applications, having employer certification will shorten the time it takes to process these applications. Employer certification is intended for employers whose employees are applying for a residence permit on the basis of work. Having employer certification benefits your company: - You no longer need to enter the information about your company separately for each employee’s application. - Your employees do not need to fill in the terms of employment in their applications. - Your employees can also apply for a D visa. However, these benefits do not apply if your employee is applying for a residence permit on the basis of intra-corporate transfer, seasonal work, research work or internship. When a company applies for employer certification, the company’s ability to meet its obligations as an employer will be assessed. This means that a separate assessment is no longer required during the processing of residence permit applications. A first employer certification is granted for two years. After that, an extended certification can be granted for three years at a time.

Study programs are not really measured by hours. The following information is from the University of Helsinki, but gives information, which is largely shared by other higher education institutions. Scope of the degree Studies are measured in credits. Courses yield credits according to the workload required. One credit corresponds to approximately 27 hours of work. The average input of 1,600 hours needed to complete one year of studies corresponds to 60 credits. The scope of first-cycle (bachelor’s) degrees is 180 credits, and that of second-cycle (master’s) degrees is 120 credits. The University of Helsinki has limited the number of credits that can be incorporated into degrees. You can incorporate up to 200 credits into a 180-credit bachelor’s degree and up to 135 credits into a 120-credit master’s degree. Exceptions: Master of Arts (Psychology) degree: 150 cr Completed after a bachelor’s degree Your degree can incorporate up to 170 cr, but If your degree includes pedagogical studies for teachers required for a subject teacher qualification, you can exceed the maximum scope of the degree. Licentiate of Veterinary Medicine degree: 180 cr Completed after a bachelor’s degree You can incorporate up to 200 cr into your degree. Licentiate of Medicine degree: 360 cr Completed as a single-cycle degree You can incorporate up to 400 cr into your degree. One should remember that in many study programs some courses can be substituted by similar completed studies elsewhere or by taking tests successfully. Attendance is not always required. There are different contexts where the question of what is considered full-time studies is relevant. There are different ways to answer it depending on the context of the question. Then a very different category are elderly people, who work part-time being emotional or practical help for others who are in worse conditions needing help or just companionship. There are people doing this for pro bono, doing it to find friends and having something meaningful to do. In specialist roles where you're mostly giving advice age is less of an issue, if you just stay mentally able and nimble enough to learn also new things fast and not having outdated skills.
