Meet Fadhli Hakim - NUHCS’ perfusionist who operates the heart-lung machine during open heart surgeries.
The heart-lung machine artificially replaces a patient’s heart or lung functions during surgery, allowing the heart to be stopped for the surgeon to operate on it.
