I bought these 2 parts separately on Amazon five & seven years ago, respectively. I still have them. They’ve certainly been on the market for quite some time now. One of the silicone feet tore away ages ago, but other than that, they’re built well, super compact, easy to use and should outlast my need for these types of products. Didn’t expect to see a review for such an older catalog item. Big fan of Joby and own many of their tripods and mounts and ball heads in various sizes for different scenarios. I’m using my iPhone in one of their mounts that connects to a GoPro attachment, right now, actually! I use this one daily. It’s called their GripTight POV phone mount. Cheers!

Hey, one question: Is it adjustable to look up (for night photography)?

Great review. How well does the ball joint work? Can you adjust/tilt the iphone to square up the subject?

Tip for the screw: if you don't have a screwdriver with you, it's best to use a small coin. it won't scratch that way.

Hey It's Lauren again ;-) I bought one of these few years ago and it has been pretty okay. Screw is just a little bit too soft so be careful with it (Edit: You warned about that on the video too =)

as far as tightening the screw at the bottom goes: I have used the tripod part, only, on the bottom of my Sony RX100 for a few years now, and I used to carry a coin from Croatia as a screwdriver to secure it however, i found out by accident that you can screw the tripod on a camera or on to this phone mount as far as it will go by hand, then sort of pull down on the tripod legs with just a bit of pressure (too much, and you'll pull the legs off of the screw part) **away** from the phone mount part (or your camera) and screw on the tripod legs with just a bit more pressure that should result in the same situation as if you had used a screwdriver or coin

Weak review, didn't even show the angles you can adjust it to as a tripod
