I read she slipped into coma and died back in 2011. I was just as shocked as you because it seems not many folks were talking about it. My fav song of hers tho was a cover song from The Style Council (a British band,) called SHOUT TO THE TOP. She did her version w/Fire Island, an English house music duo. Look it up here on KZbin. It's pure hotness! I was surprised it was a cover. But Lolletta made it her own and blew the roof off!

Jocelyn was part of Musique, that brought us that classic 70's disco hit In The Bush. I've worn that song out many a time. I love that Martha lend her powerhouse vocals to recreate a little bit of magic here. Fun stuff!

Obesity. She has basically crippled herself with her weight. In other videos of her live on stage, she is helped on by an assistant or two and a cane or a walker.

I know that can be a factor for someone to have to sit down, but I don't think that's the main reason why she was sitting. By the way, she lost a lot of weight.

I certainly hope so... What a voice! I go way back to my early 20s (the 1970s) listening to Jocelyn Brown before she was known by her name, and was always listed on album cover credits as either a back-up vocalist or as a featured lead singer. (She has also been credited as Jocelyn Shaw on many albums by many artists that I collected over the years.)
