The one small passage in the Bible that mentioned "Lucifer, I Light if the Morning" was a mistranslation and referred to the hubris of a King..not "El Satan". This is one of the greatest and definitely most terrifying pieces of work. Believe me I listen to death metal doom metal and some dark opera but in terms of the creepiness factor nothing quite touches this.

3 years later: Check out Love Is Colder Than Death as well, they are similar to Dead Can Dance. I would also add the album "Apollo & Dionysus: Sounds from Classical Antiquity " by EMAP Music Archeology project, and "Land of Sun" by Tahmourez Pournazeri.

this is a great piece of the barroque period mixed with the Gregorian chants and some influence of old mongol chants, it is excellent and truly sweet and beautiful, the main purpose is to bring you into a trance, a deep form of meditation with long and repetitive words and sounds.
