He was the best I've ever seen at getting a horse a change leads he shift this weight and give light taps on the right chest and a horse would just gradually change without losing any momentum or with yanking the horse around.

I did an oil painting of him which he autographed right before he ran the 1992 Belmont Stakes which he won. I always said my painting brought him luck.

Just wondering if that crazy horse you might be referring to is "Eight Star." Eddie rode my dad's, Jesse Broussard, quarter horse as a young jockey at EVANGELINE DOWNS in Lafayette, LA. I remember Eddie when he was starting out. Cajuns are so proud of you

I was born on a quarter horse I win my first race and Cecilia Louisiana at the age of 12 and and gallop and rode horses all over the country . I watch riders like Harry Lee patin. And my favorite was a bush tack rider call meco he was 8 or 9 but he was awesome. I sure miss those good times.

@@josephlonzocalais1443 J.B. had two great horses in his long career. No Double and Meadowlake. That colt was Gigantic, like 17 H and 1300lbs. He was a flying mountain. I was there the day Meadowlake went out for his first as a 2-year-old. The entire backside knew he was going to destroy the maiden allowance field...and he did. He went off at some ridiculous price like 1 to 5...lol Sonnier's stablehands were supposed to keep their mouths shut about this youngster. They probably did, but it's hard to keep a secret when a two-year-old gets clocked in :44 in the morning, by himself...LMBO
