Been fearing the leadership position for a very long time and now I have been voluntold to go man a project to run while my foreman finishes another, and the fear of failure is hard to over come, I’m frustrated with the little failures that I’ve already done, and now after I search through his podcast, I’ve found this so helpful to except the challenge, embrace the suck, learn from mistakes, and become a leader my company wants me to be. Don't add value where value is not needed. Great snippet there. I see this a lot where high level analytical thinkers become entangled in details and attempt to add value by "sharing" how much they know about one small detail. Or showcasing how eloquent their powerpoint flow is. Rather than the problem itself. The value isn't how pretty your presentation is, but the effort in taking action to move towards a solution.
