What stands out to me is the way y'all talk about the blocking angles, the passion, and the mentality y'all played the game with. This is EXACTLY WHAT IS MISSING!!!! Every bit of what they talked about is EXACTLY what this program has been missing since those days!! Back then you ALREADY knew what kind of effort and emotion that those teams were going to play with, from the warmups til the game clock hit 0:00! I can tell you right now, this state misses that passion and effort right now! Got chill bumps listening to them talk and remembering in my head how much pride we had in watching those teams play! This state has always been bad mouthed and counted out of everything, but by God nobody could say shit about our football program because they bottled up the pride that ppl from this state have about OUR state, and they brought it EVERY DAMN TIME that they put on the Razorback helmet! I just hope that all 3 of them truly know what they did for all of us from this state! WOOO PIG!!

I was in an elevator in Razorback Stadium about an hour before kickoff last Saturday. A lady was asking someone behind me if they were a former player. The guy says "yes, I played from 2008 to 2011, my name is Jarius Wright". The door opens for my floor, but as I was getting off I chimed in that he is the Razorback's all time leading receiver. As I walked towards our seats, I told my 13 year old son about how good the Hogs were with J. Wright and Joe Adams. I remember thinking about how unassuming he seemed for a guy that had done so much on the field. I know it was a brief interaction, but I saw no entitlement or evidence of a guy throwing his weight around.

My house has 3, and they are all a few feet away from each other. One night, ALL three started chirping. But I just assumed it was one of them. So, I changed the batteries, laid back down…chirp chirp chirp, tried changing the 2nd one, laid back down…chirp, chirp…then, I realized I was out of batteries. So I switched the fresh ones with smoke alarm 3…laid back down… chirp chirp…I ended up driving to gas station to buy more batteries. So annoying. You can’t just unplug them.. they’ll keep on chirping.. woke up the next morning, convinced i was having a nightmare. Moral of the story. Stock up on 9v batteries!

I agree that it would be a good thing to bring back former hogs to the games and even a few practices. Just as you said DJ, being around guys who have been there and went on to do bigger and better things makes those younger guys want to do more. It helps put a little pep in their step. It would also be a good thing for the recruits as well. Seeing how the school recognizes and appreciates their former players goes a long way in creating a positive culture. Which in turn might influence players to stick around longer. Anyway that’s my thoughts.

Razorback fan. I go watch my niece on a spirit squad at Alabama, and they not only have previous players on the sideline every game, but those guys are announced and they take pictures with fans while they’re down there, even ones that aren’t pros. It’s an amazing hype thing. The fans go nuts for them when they’re announced. It’s usually 2-4 and they will have one or two lead of when they sing Dixie Land Delight. They celebrate these guys and keep them involved.
