Yo i had a vegan buffalo brussel sprout with vegan ranch at a wedding this weekend. And i hate sprouts. But let me tell you, this was fucking magical. No vegetables i have ever eaten tasted is bad for you as this. So i asked the chef and he insisted it wqsnt fried, it low fat. No added sugar. Just a little more salt than you might like. So im on a mission now to replicate this witchcraft. Ill be sure to post if i discover the formula.

Joe is right, they are predominantly made from roux blocks. Such blocks are used in Japan for lots of different dishes, not just curry. However, it is easy enough to make from scratch.
