You know, this is the piece that encouraged me to take trombone seriously. Now only a year and a half later I've won a competition, successfully auditioned for an orchestra, and now have a full-length recital planned. Joe, I just have to say thank you so much for encouraging me by being an amazing player.

I agree that he sounds great in this recording. But I can tell you without hesitation that his sound is even better in person. I had the fortune of hearing him up close at a masterclass. I can't describe how complete and amazing his sound is.

This concert was unbelievable. Fred Mills memorial concert at the University of Georgia. A lot of the world’s best brass musicians played that day. RIP Fred.

I want to make babies to his sound. His tone is so good and the intonation is perfect! I've been playing trombone for 4 & 1/2 years and watching this makes me want to become so much better! Thank you Joe.
