It feels wrong that Joe is talking about his conversation with saleh. It was a mistake ever giving Joe his number. Saleh is probably going to be asked about the text messages now. Everyone seemed to love Mike white and then he got hurt and had a bad game and jets fans seemed to forget he existed. I never understood that, even Joe gave up on Mike white so it’s funny hearing him say they should have kept him. If I’m a jets fan I would want rodgers gone, him coming back is only prolonging the inevitable and that’s unfortunately a partial rebuild. New coaches and offense needs to be reworked while keeping that defense together. If rodgers doesn’t win it all next year which is unlikely then it seems like a wasted year, especially if they have a high draft pick. No matter what the jets should take a QB.

I truly believe it's not Rodgers calling the shots you guys want us to believe that, but it's Johnson calling the shots. Johnson has business ties to Wilson's family and I believe that Douglas was the one GM who agreed on drafting Wilson and playing Wilson no matter what. Douglas had to hire a head coach who agreed to these terms, which lead McCarthy to walk out the building and for them to bring in Saleh. Rodgers was brought in as a last-ditch effort to help Zack but failed to do so. Rodgers terms to come to a team that's been the worst over the last ten years was give me guaranteed money and sign all my friends. The only person here to blame is Johnson.

Looks like Benigno wants to give Saleh another year. I’m not against it but I insist that he’s too nice of a guy to be a successful coach at least in the NY market. Historically, the coaches that excel in NY have been no-nonsense strict guys like Parcells, Coughlin and I would even put Rex in that category. I wouldn’t mind having Saleh as a DC. He definitely knows how to run a defense.

I’d give Saleh and Douglas next year to get results if I were the owner. Douglas should get one more offseason to fix the offense; he has drafted well overall but his top free agent signings have been hit or miss. Saleh has built a good culture for the Jets and the defense has been good for 2 years now. Hackett would normally get fired in this situation, he’d be the fall guy, but A-Rod wants a yes man at OC. Douglas needs to give Frank Reich a call and offer him the OC job. Move off Hackett or make him QB coach. I think he’d be interested in having A-Rod as his QB and draft his guy and let him sit. That would take a lot of pressure off Saleh and allow him to do what he does best, defense and motivating. Saleh is a good leader but he can’t run an offense and benching Zach to appease fans/media was a weak move considering they passed on Wentz. To me he was the obvious pivot after A-Rod went down, should of been on the phone at halftime. Didn’t have to trade any picks and signed for 1 mil with the Rams. Zach was average and wasn’t the biggest issue. Boyle and Siemian were never viable options they can’t move like Zach. With the injuries to the O-Line you can’t have a stationary guy at QB. I’m glad Rodgers talked sense into Zach he’s the best option these last 5 games. Audition him for the rest of the league to try to raise his stock, maybe get a Darnold-like trade package.
