You can see his frustration as an artist fighting with his reason as a business man, having to placate the idiot requirements of the broadcasters.

At the very least, I agree with racial or sexual stereotypes, no need for that. Easy on the violence, that's debatable (I think kids know what kind of violence is real and which is make-believe). Limiting the vocabulary to one-syllable words is egregious.

I feel sorry for him. Tom & Jerry was ruined by the broadcasters when they were brought back, and I'm sure he hated the Godzilla cartoon Hanna-Barbera did.

That also explains why he had trouble getting the Bible stories to TV (the Greatest Adventures series), but then he found he could sell them direct-to-video.

Poor Joe getting told how to make cartoons by people who never held a pencil in their lives. He had already won seven Oscars for Tom and Jerry back when those executives were all in diapers.

I don't know Joe Barbera lived to see SpongeBob SquarePants 14 years later, These old cartoons are lot funnier than SpongeBob SquarePants
@OakViewFilms5 жыл бұрын
He did. Joe lived until 2006, and SpongeBob debuted in 1999.
