This is Saleh’s coaching staff and these are his poorly coached, undisciplined players and his culture that he built. The problems the Jets have now are ALL extensions of problems that he failed to address his entire time here. Zach Wilson is a third string QB in Denver. He’s lucky to be on a roster. Sam Darnold and Geno Smith lead the league in interceptions. The Jets are the laughing stock of the league and that’s fine. But none of those guys have gone on to greatness elsewhere.

@@vincedidiana5781 Setting aside that the Bears are an original, flagship NFL franchise there are a lot of parallels between the Bears and Jets in the modern era. Both are still trading off a single, influential Super Bowl victory won long ago. Both have been looking for a franchise quarterback for basically ever. Both are plagued by poor, absentee ownership. It looks like the Bears are on the way up so hopefully it continues that way for you. At this point I don't know what has to happen for the Jets to even put a decent team on the field. Just a decent team. It's been so long now since that's been the case, with so many no-show, noncompetitive blowouts on the ledger like this Arizona game than can be counted. Good times!

And yet the Steelers haven't had a losing season. Then there are the Jests. I'm reading stuff that can fill up 20 Jests Bingo Cards. Fill in the "missed tackle" on every single card to start with, one per missed tackle on Sunday, which is the most of any team all year. Brutal. Absolutely Brutal. I keep waiting for rock bottom. I’ll break ranks and say that the Jets job is a pretty good one. You have offensive weapons. You need to draft a good young QB, but that is not impossible. Lots of really good ones have been taken in both rd 1 and 2. There are cornerstone assets on D in Sauce and QW and a couple other guys. One or two good drafts and you are in business, with a good leader. I hope Mike Vrabel and a good talent evaluator as GM. It simply cannot be as hard as they have made it to find quality O lineman in the draft.

@KingP321Ай бұрын
So just think about this for advocacy for Rex.. what is an NFL coaches responsibility? This is what google AI says An NFL head coach has many responsibilities, including: Planning: Preparing the team for games by organizing practices, schedules, nutrition, hydration, and rest Leading: Motivating and praising players, and making sure the team stays together during games Making decisions: Deciding on major plays, such as fourth down or fake field goals Dealing with the media: Influencing how the team interacts with the media Evaluating players: Closely evaluating rookies and younger players during preseason Head coaches are responsible for the overall direction and purpose of the team. They are often the most public figure and highest paid coach on the team I personally feel Rex Ryan fit the NY market just like Parcels did.. during those times we were at least winning. I remember how proud Rex was to have 2 shut down corners.. maybe he make Sauce, Sauce again? And DJ reed gets better? Where we are now, wouldn’t hurt if the decision is the change things up. After listening to Rodgers today PM Tuesday show sounds like he asking for working on more consistency vs breaking things up.. so other option keep going all in? @njlauren I agree. But it was the timing. It was the same ol Woody reaction to the media. Not running it by his well-respected GM first. It should have happened after the OC change after a couple of more weeks. But, ya know the Joe's were screaming for it. Nobody decent will want this mess now. Our only hope is Gruden and Woody and Hymie are too football dumb to figure that out.

@HappyEddyMcGuire I am still not sure Saleh wasn't fired because of his plan to demote Hackett, I am sorry but that has Rodgers hands all over it. If woody was listening to the fans Hackett would have been fired weeks before. Rodgers whined, and Woody acted. How do I know that? Not hard to see. Rodgers figured fans would read it as the Jets bad record; the problem is that as mad as ppl were at Saleh, they were tired of Rodgers running the team& they blamed him. That he spent so much time denying it tells the tale. That hackett was demoted a couple of days later was cover , it was to say ' see, saleh wasn't fired bc of Hackett, he was fired bc of woody not rodgers'. Too coincidental to be anything else but cover, Hackett finally became too much of a liability for Rodgers

@njlauren I get that, and I respect that. My thought on it is... it predates Rodgers. MFL being fired which was the same Woody and Hymie reacting to fans because no way JD and especially Saleh wanted that -- that led up to Hackett getting hired which ultimately caused Saleh to get fired. It truly is an S show at the hands of dysfunction at the top. If we kept MLF and our original OL coach in tact, no chop block happens and Rodgers never gets hurt. Rodgers was coming here with or without Hackett.

Dallas is hiring Coach Prime so fuggitaboutit. Green Bay Packer fans told you folks Rodgers was done but you wouldn't listen. Rodgers mailed it in his last year in GB.
