With Benigno talking about how he wants Ryan Church and David Wright over Carlos Beltran in the big spot, it's ironic that on the final game, Beltran hit a game-tying 2-run home run and Church came up to bat with two outs in the ninth as the tying run and didn't come through and Wright went 0 for 4 in the game (not to mention his strikout with Murphy(the winning run) on 3rd base the Wednesday before).

yup i put more blame on Mota for losing the nlcs for blowing the 6-4 lead in game 2 than on beltran. After all, he scored the only Mets run in game 7

i am a mets fan and beltran dosnt do anything,, the guy hits .260 as a cleanup hitter and then tries to bunt all the time,, ever see a-rod bunt? and beltran for his mets career he hits like .200 at home and .285 on the road,, he does nothing especially at home

joe is 100% correct on beltran. beltran never hustles and never goes for it. and dont get me started on beltran in game 7 of the 2006 nlcs and looking at the season ending while a ball goes right through the pipe...
