In my opinion, this is another very positive sign of Western attitude towards Africa. Before, Western engagement with African nations would almost always go through the former colonial nations or not exist at all. Now, with Biden's visit to Angola without Portuguese interference, with France hosting Nigeria, we are finally seeing an erosion of those ties and mentalities and more overture to consider each African nation a sovereign nation worth talking to, rather than a dependency of some other nation. I think this will be good for Africa and eventually for us in Europe too.
