Went to the RAH last night for the 3rd time to see Joe and the band....like being hit by the blues truck!!...one of the highlights was the drum solo.Astonishing !!!!

Joe has worked his rear-end off mastering guitar, talented to begin with but lots of hard slog and a great desire contributed, I have always liked his feel, and sense of melodic invention, always a pleasure for the listener.

Actually, I saw Joe Bonamassa when he was 5 years old playing guitar so it's not something that he had to work his rear end off at he's got the talent and he's got the gift. It's perseverance and he's worked as rear end off helping other people and also giving of himself. He is steadfast and does not quit and that's what I respect the most. It's not easy to be in the music business it never was and it probably never will be but it's fun and anyone who has the gift of being able to play by ear as they say or it's in the blood, knows this. It's really great to see somebody who is a true fan and sticks by Joe because that's the kind of fan base that he attracts.

Joe is a master with many miles under his belt but the shy humility with which he performed in 2009 somehow let his playing and musicality stand out that little bit more. Now he is trying to be just a little bit too much of a showman although I like this new lineup without the horns and rhythm section that had just got a bit too comfortable (bit more sawdust bar room feel to this crew).

@Majorie Johnson I thought I was the only one who was thinking that. Unfortunately he just had a weight issue, that's the main problem I 🤔 but indeed he looks a bit oldisch, but that doesn't take away from the joy of hearing him play and sing. I will always love him ❤️

His music and voice are still the greatest and he is a beautiful human being, talented and down to earth 😁. Love his high voice in Lonely Boy at the Jools Holland performance. Hope to see him for the first time when he plans to come to Holland or Europe, despite the expensive ticket prices ❤️
