Dude! Now amp up the bass and have it walk around a little along with a Hammond chording and the mix needs a "groove" to be the instrumental it can be, the singing is good too but the, again, "groove" would be killer holding like a trance jam live on stage, at some point have the tempo change to a blues for awhile and then come back to the jam, lastly, let me know when and where I can buy, borrow, or steal it....thanks.

Reese Wynans always blows me away, and this time is no exception! Joe's band has a very high bar to reach to even qualify to be on stage with him, but I keep being impressed by how seemingly-effortlessly they all reach, and exceed, that bar.

My grandson is three months from being Two years old and utters to me "Woman" so we listen to Joe and his band playing the song "Boogie Woogie Woman" he likes to act like he's playing the piano while "Reese" is jamming along and at the end when he puts up his hand to finish the downbeat my little" Eli" does the same action and just giggles. what a powerful way for children to associate to music.
@TheVatonaught5 жыл бұрын
when my music teacher caught me listening to boogie woogie and tryin' to play it she told my Mom to not allow me to use the piano unless I played her classical lessons...wonder if I would have gone wild with the instrument...now I'm a no-talent guitar player still tryin' boogie beat.

It doesn't get much better than this! The rhythm section with Michael Rhodes on the Fender P-bass and Anton "Late Show" Fig on drums kicks right in and never waivers allowing a solid boogie for the soloists. The only issue I have with the performance is that I wasn't there to see it live. Great vid! More fun than humans should be allowed to have!

This is Joe...he doesn't fuck around...he brings it to you like it's supposed to be done...old school blues and R&R. My beloved Johnny Winter did the same. Joe is now my favorite blues guitarist. He plays blues and R&R...from the old school...and he does it well.

I saw the Muddy Waters Band in 1979. My introduction to what a powerful force of nature a real blues band was. I've seen BB King live back in '80s, Allman Brothers (not with Duane unfortunately) and we've all seen the Blues Brothers Band in the movie, but nothing compares to this band that Kevin Shirley has put together for Joe. They are so powerful on the videos I can just imagine what it was like to actually have been at the Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks or the 3 Kings at the Greek. Mind blowing.
