I've always loved the jazz blues rock sounds of the ES 335. When Joe played his gig in Minneapolis in November 2022. I went up to buy a T shirt just before the show started saw the JB autographed ES 335 bought that along with the T shirt. I don't even play guitar... yet. Ended up buying another semi-hollow body, and I'm taking lessons at 60+ y.o. Something I always thought about doing now i am. Thank you Joe. That'll keep the brain sharp. The JB autographed is a collectors item that I'm putting in a glass case on the wall in my home office and will only come out on special occasions.

I like them so much I bought TWO '62 JB 335 reissues: a block-inlay to play, and an inlaid-signature from JB's store to stash as an investment. My block-inlay 335 is FANTASTIC!! Fit and finish rival either of my Gibsons. Burstbuckers and five-ply maple provide that classic 335 Larry Carlton/Justin Hayward sound. Epiphone just NAILED IT!!

Don't pay attention to the complainers about the price and the fact that Joe is getting paid. I bought one, and I have no qualms with Joe and Epiphone getting paid to deliver a product that checks all the boxes. I'll say this, it's fun to play, sounds great, plays great, so it's a win-win. Good times.

The action on mine was sky high out of the box. Lowered it and have a bit of string buzz on the low E, but otherwise a great sounding 335 and excellent quality.

I bought this guitar used but practically new condition. Yes all Gibson electronics and pickups, however build quality, not great. Again yes I realize it’s made overseas, Joe should closely look at quality if he is going to put his name on it. I will say it sounds great.

Bought one. Beautiful guitar but my top complaints are that it doesn't stay in tune and light string buzz. Without using the tremolo no less. Frets feel a little gritty. Sound is nice. Will try some string changes. Any suggestions?

Fret work could be better Joe it does not take any longer to do them right than to do them badly .l have your Black Beauty l had the frets completly refinished it is a beautiful guitar and plays great. about 40 years ago l had a 1957 les paul black beauty the JB black beauty does not play any better but it plays just as good.Beautiful rendition of a great and iconic guitar.

Would be interesting for someone knowledgeable and experienced enough to assess and comment on a comparison off this Epiphone model versus Eastman's T59/v version of the 335.

Way to support the original MIA version Joe! Oh.. wait.. I sure wish Epi would move their factories to someplace else in the world because as much as I like these guitars, I won’t be sending my money to a country where they have our ultimate demise as a mission statement.

@@jazzguitartoday you know, it really does. As I age, I try to control a few small things in life and watching where I send my money is one and it is completely in my control. I have no doubt the product line is great, they certainly look to be. Funny thing about it keeping me away from many products is the benefit of slowing down and taking more time on purchase decisions and thinking about what I really want and if needed, saving and planning for it. There are no shortage of great things to have made in wonderful places that get me through it.
