I very rarely agreed with Brolly but i was always glad he was on the panel every Sunday. He sparked many a conversation and argument with my late dad and my brothers. In my eyes i never agreed with a lot of what he said but he always put the elephant in the room up for discussion. His passion for GAA and what it stands for can never be questioned and he radiates all that is good about our game, best of luck Joe you will be missed..

Rte's commentary has gotten worse. Brolly was always a bit of craic, regardless of if you agree with him or not. Looking forward to seeing how Eir approach the league.

I class myself as a very biased strong dubs supporter and Spillane and orourke were excellent and Joe brolly was the glue that held it all together a brilliant g.a.a player and 10 out of 10 pundit who always spoke well about the dubs that last performance in 2019 drawn final he was excellent I'll always be thankful for the way he stood up for Johnny Cooper who was after giving a penalty away but it was not clear cut and Joe highlighted that all I can say from family and fellow dubs fans hill 16 loves Joe brolly and will always be welcome in any part of Dublin SHAME ON R.T.E THEY DEPRIVED FANS OF A BRILLIANT PUNDIT 👏

the fella Brolly's referring to at the start with his own youtube channel is Shane Stapleton. Brolly was telling a story from Sept 93 and was gutted Shane didn't know Derry won it that year, proceeded to be condescending towards Shane for the rest of the interview. Still though, Brolly fills that necessary role of the guy you love to hate very well.

The head of sport humiliated himself Joe, he ruined the Sunday Game, seeing Colm O'Rourke and others and Pat trying to grapple with pieces of A4 with the script and statistics was embarrassing for all of us and took the whole GAA ethos of opinion conradicting opinion and disagreement and celebration of the game, to see it reduced to a corporate Sky Sports mentality, where on earth did they get him from? A control freak. When you told Pat to stop patting you on the arm it was great and Pat obviously wouldn't give it a second thought, there was obviously great respect among the lot of you, that was a given, something the head of sport didn't have except for his own ego and corporate mind. Keep it out of the GAA or it will die on the television. Thank the universe for Roy Keane on Sky, I'm sure they'd love to sack him too for speaking his mind. Get rid of that bureaucrat, there are too many of them messing up the world already.

""I suggested in the heat of the moment that David may have been influenced by the propaganda emanating from Kerry in the lead up to the game. Afterwards I contacted David to apologise for this." Joe needs to get down off the cross. His coverage of the final was unprofessional. He didn't know the rules and had to go back on most of the things he had said in the live broadcast, and then apologise to the referee after having made a lot of remarks questioning his integrity. I'm happy that he enjoys the drama of it all, but at the end of the day, RTE's coverage has to maintain some level of credibilty.

Great chat, but to say gaa has no influence in Irish government is not really true. How many millions did croke park get from taxpayers to redevelop croke park stadium. If you compare gaa to fai theres no comparison

I'll be honest in saying I am glad he's off the pundits chair. I watched a few of the games on Sky and they were brilliant. Focused entirely on the game and breaking down what happened. Brolly spent his time being argumentative. He started becoming a bit of a caricature of himself.

Giles, dunphy, brolly all gone from rte, all brilliant analysts and probably too 'controversial ' for the national broadcaster, dunphy and brolly in particular. Become a pundit but we tell you what to say!!😳

The High Court decision to quash the GAA’s planning consent for a 38,000 all seated stadium, at Casement Park, Andersonstown Road, Belfast is the culmination of a three year campaign by residents to protect their homes and neighbourhood from the inappropriate scale of this proposal. Roger Watts of C&J Black acted on behalf of the residents through the Mooreland & Owenvarragh Residents’ Association, which represented over 170 households in the immediate vicinity of the Casement Park site in West Belfast. David Scoffield Q.C. was retained as Senior Counsel and provided pre-action advice, as well as presenting the case in Court for the residents. The case ran for 13 days and is thought to be the longest planning judicial review, if not one of the longest judicial reviews, ever heard in Northern Ireland. Community Places provided planning advice and assistance throughout the course of the planning application and expert evidence for the legal challenge. Hoy Dorman Limited provided expert evidence on roads issues, in support of the case. As the hearing was expedited, the case took approximately 8 months from our initial instruction until the Court ruling. MORA residents have made it clear throughout these proceedings that they are not opposed to appropriate re-development of the existing sports ground. They would support a modern stadium with a capacity of 20,000-25,000 and believe this to be the most that the neighbourhood and supporting infrastructure can accommodate. Many of the residents are members of, or otherwise support, the GAA and its sporting and cultural objectives.
