I think what Joe is doing is smart it's his show. He is the brand. Like with any show, new characters are developed. You can see the moves he's making by bringing Marc Lamont Hill, and Joe is thinking about bringing in another cohost. This cast is not going to last forever so it's best for him to keep finding new co-hosts every so many years.

No betrayal, IMO. R& M were fully committed as partners from the start-Rory even left his corporate job for the pod. They were the face along with JB. It made sense why they were part of the rollout. But once the money started rolling in, Joe rebranded it to the JBP, and we all saw how things unfolded. The new crew should see themselves as employees. Ice often says things like, “As long as the check clears, I’m good,” which sounds like someone just clocking in & out. R & M mentioned how staff vented to them about being underpaid & overworked. And they spoke about trying to come up with a solution to fix that. As employees, the current cast would neither have to deal with that, and some would not care (as long as their check clears), lol. Also, for many of them, the JBP might not be their main focus but rather a GREAT part-time job or a launching pad. Ish is an entrepreneur, Flip has his own network, Ice seems to be prepping a backup plan, Emanny is back making music, MLH has his own brand, etc.
