i remember watching this telecast live. it was so weird seeing calzaghe get dropped, in those moments it looked like we were seeing him exposed. you see how tim tszyu fared recently, anything can happen from there. the fact he not only survived, but fought back immediatey and dropped mitchell. this was a great fight

people rail about the stoppage but i think it was a good call. it's ref's discretion if the man lurches back into the middle of the ropes like that powerless. mitchell had been wobble at least twice during that entire exchange, wasn't throwing anything meaninful back. the usyk fury was sort of like this, and when fury fell back into the ropes they should have stopped it because usyk was beating him pillar to post
