I'm amazed how many young people love Joe Cocker. It doesn't seem like the music they would like now days. He was the man.

This song was written by Billy Preston & Bruce Fisher & was first released in 1974 on Preston’s 9th album. Joe Cocker’s version (slower) produced by Jim Price was released later that same year peaking at #5 in the U.S. 💟 BEAUTIFUL 💟 Joe Cocker born in England 1944 and died 2014 in Colorado! R.I.P. 😇

Joe put every ounce of his emotion and body into his voice. agree with those below the studio version is so clean, but it's cool to see what Joe puts into his singing. All I ask is to be moved...that'll do it. Great reaction.

It was written by Billy Preston and Dennis Wilson, the Beach Boys drummer, underrated singer and songwriter, who made one of the best 70s albums called Pacific Ocean Blue... he also used to sing this song live during the Beach Boys 70s tours... Joe Cocker cover is, as usual, superlative

Joe Cocker .... There is no explanation for the impact his singing has with the Lyrics.... He is, like trying to explain the Rain Drops sliding down a leaf and the sound it makes when it hits the moist grass... Nothing about it should be good, but he is so captivating.... Legend!!
