I wonder if this is some early testing in the affordable Joe dart bass? The grain doesn’t look as pronounced on the body, can anyone weigh in on this? Also, what is that white box on top of his amp?

If you look at the headstock and the bridge you can see it's the regular MM Joe Dart

Not bad. I like this solo more than the other ones I heard from him, in which he seemed to pluck extremely hard. I like how "normal" bassplayers are still a thing.
