Holy cats. Money reference was cool. Impressive note choices and just plain playing strength from Hell. Notice he pushes hard as hell with his left hand but no pinky finger. Interesting power finger style. 5 stars. Great performance. Great lesson too.

mother front door. the stamina required for this is something I think every bass player can appreciate even if it’s not your favorite style.

Amazing! Out of curiosity what's with the guitars on stands instead of them wearing straps. I have been playing in bands for 40 years and I never seen that!

Sorry ... Sorry but ... hum hum... Joe is a top bass player. But this solo is not very interesting, on a musical way. I would like hear him playing on a pop song, like Pino did with Paul Young ( for me his best work ) ... this should be a real challenge, a Real One !!

I get why the throngs are impressed. But they don’t know any better. And the guy is a good player. But seriously. A bunch of 16th notes strung over a single chord using a single and quite trite pentatonic run with no obvious melodic concept is just not that hard to make sound like something and tons of unemployed youtubers can do the same thing. It’s the very rare bass player who doesn’t sound like a bass player taking a solo and who can actually play over a set of changes in a melodic way. Jaco was one. Jeff Berlin another. Many Jazz upright players. But this guy is no different than most. Sorry. Not impressed.
