This song carries a wonderful message. After the battle, despite harboring resentment, sadness, and difficult emotions towards each other, it is a song that embodies the desire for peace and the intention to live together. In the face of nature, humans are insignificant, and eventually, when they die, they all return to the earth. This poem teaches that all people are a part of the grand nature. It tells us that when we acknowledge this and strive to live together, strength, love, and hope become visible. And when that is achieved, it carries the grand theme of receiving true forgiveness from nature.

It is a beautiful peace that not only symbolizes the falling in love of two people, but that also very importantly signifies the felling in love for life itself and what it has to offer. Amazing work done by Joe Hisaishi. Truly one of his best compositions.

I couldn’t help but feel sad after this movie. It left a void in my life. It was so immersive and the characters were so real. And sen and ashitakas romance was too real. I just have to turn to the music or community to make me feel somewhat better. Huge bravo to Miyazaki and hisaishi. I can’t wait to watch more ghibli.

I am Japanese, but unlike other shameless Japanese people, I am not interested in using this video as evidence of how superior Japanese people are or how exceptional Joe Hisaishi is as a Japanese person. Rather, from my experience of watching numerous Joe Hisaishi concert videos, what I have come to realize is just how outstanding the Wiener Symphoniker is as an orchestra. This was the first time I truly understood that. Comparisons made this realization possible for me. Regrettably, I do not have ears refined enough to fully appreciate the value of the Wiener Symphoniker by listening to their performances alone. However, thanks to their performance of Joe Hisaishi’s familiar music on this occasion, I was finally able to recognize their worth. Europe, the home of classical music, and particularly you who possess such a renowned orchestra, should take pride in this-at least as much as we take pride in Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki, and Joe Hisaishi.

You can tell the European orchestra is not used to playing in this style. The timing is all over the place and yet stiff at the same time. You really need a Hollywood orchestra or a Japanese orchestra to do Hisaishi’s music justice [edit] I’m sure this orchestra is top notch at playing Beethoven and Mozart. I’m not saying they’re bad. They’re just not used to playing this kind of music and it shows
