Joe Jackson once said that he thought the Anthrax version of this song was played too slowly. He bragged that his band played it twice as fast as them. I was skeptical of this so I checked the recorded version from Look Sharp to the Anthrax version. And the Joe Jackson version was actually a few beats slower than Anthrax. But now that I see this, I understand what he was talking about--I don't know if it's twice as fast as Antrax but it's significantly faster.

It wasn't some big secret when Anthrax released their version; And obviously none of these people who "love" Anthrax so much ever actually bought the album "Persistence Of Time", since the songwriting credit was clearly printed on the label and the liner notes.

I was a baby when this song was new, and I was 21 when I first heard anthrax. My thoughts were, "Wow, this is really punk," and that it wasn't like their other songs. The big shock for me was how faithful the cover was!
