Haunting melody, brings me chills and tears it’s so beautifully written
@The_Conspiracy_Analyst Жыл бұрын
It's haunting because it's about suicide. Listen to the lyrics: *The mist across the window hides the lines* The suicide is in the bathroom (more on this later) and the body is obscured by the mist in there *But nothing hides the color of the lights that shine* What type of shining color light wouldn't be hidden? Lights from police cars responding to the scene *Electricity so fine* referring to the "toaster in the bathtub" method *Look and dry your eyes* Referring to the empty dead stare of the corpse *We So tired of all the darkness in our lives* Self explanatory *With no more angry words to say* Giving up earthly hope *Can come alive* *Get into a car and drive* *To the other side* Referring to reaching the "other side" as the only hope, this time referring to self-inflicted auto accident!

This touches the deepest depths of my soul as those of us who are conscious of that thin veil that separates us from the other side are also aware of the step into the light of (what ever God is) and His presence we are always aware of. I remember listening to this song heading down the highway toward the coast, i had just lost someone very dear to me, and i felt their soul so strong that i had to pull over. As i listened, in my mind's eye this beautiful shining image was moving at the speed of light, it seemed, toward a light that compared to nothing i had ever known. I knew it was this beautiful soul that had left my life. Chills spread over my whole being as i was experiencing a great conformation of what all will experience at that moment and the realization that there is no such thing as time so that no matter how many years separate your passing from another you will always be right behind them. This was a chilling, beautiful and beautiful revelation. So, all that to say that whatever the person who wrote these lyrics meant does not always create the same thoughts and images in another as we respond to our experiences and awareness. To add to this, years later passed from my body and was up near the ceiling looking down at myself and the doctors working on me. I watched them roll the head portion of the hospital bed downward to where my head was much lower than my body, I had no clue as to what they were doing to me and i could not hear anything except something like a constant shhhhhh sound. Only in the last few years i have watched a documentary on this sound that is the sound of complete silence which is not completely silent like we think, and this is as near to what i heard than anything else. Anyway, I had no fear whatsoever and was being comforted and given an awareness that it was not yet time and i would be alright and to live. To Live? I thought much later on but knew exactly what it meant. To Live, was not about going out to party but to live a sacred life with humbleness and meekness, void of ego that i may be filled with those things of a spiritual nature, those things not devised by man (humans) but those that are in harmony with God-the I-Am-the Creator, the Beginning and the End. When i awoke there were three doctors and four nurses and i asked them what happened to the fourth doctor, and they all looked at each other and one doctor asked me how i knew about this doctor and i told them all the many things i watched them do from above and this same doctor asked me to please repeat to this fourth doctor that he would go get. He went out and came back with a very concerned looking doctor, the one that had been working on me the most. There is far too much to write here but the just of all of this is. This hauntingly beautiful song brings much to my personal table, and it gives to me this reminder that we are all heading toward the light and that no one escapes this journey, and we travel alone (with no other human or anything from this world of matter)with nothing but our self and what we have built upon. Our spiritual house and the type of materials are what forms the nature of our house and the platform in which we build our home upon is the foundation that must last for eternity and must be flawless and void of impurities and this first step is the longest as it takes time to separate and gather those things necessary to formulate and achieve this process. Thank You - L.L.

Seems like that's the thing you can if your so tired of all the darkness in your lives (when things don't go your way) get into a car and drive to the other side to help drown out all that negativity and for something positive to happen. Good line it explains everything so perfectly what to do if your feeling down. And that's what 80s songs are known for doing great music from a great time.
