This is soooo good! What a perfect song pairing with J&J's tumultuous relationship. I always hated how he never had the opportunity to truly follow his heart and become someone more, he was so trapped by fear and duty, it must've been an awful time. Love this!

I completely agree with you!! But I think that Joes story isn’t over yet... I believe that he’ll be back and they’ll finally let him redeem himself and become the man he always wanted to be... he was a really important character and I don’t think they’d just kill him like that. Also, through the films they left so many questions without answers about him!! Idk, I just believe he’ll be back and they’ll finally give him what he deserves

William Wykoff I don’t believe that it is, from what we’ve seen during the first two seasons and in the films it really doesn’t look like it but there’s the possibility... but I guess we’ll have to wait for the next season to see that🙃 lF the Joe we saw in the last season, after being brainwashed if I can call it that, is, in fact, the “real” Joe, I expect a really good explanation for his behaviour during the prior seasons but like I said, until the next season is out we can only guess and hope for the best!!!

National Socialist you’re completely right, good and bad are definitely just a matter of point of view!! And if you believe that in a regime, it being a dictatorship, or even a monarchy or a democracy, that you’re unsatisfied with the government measures you should just stay quiet and obey because that’s your “duty”, because that’s what you’re supposed to do, that you don’t have to stand up for yourself and at least try to fight for what you want, for what you believe to be the old and relative “good” that you believe in, than that’s okay. And idk, from the way I Captured Joe’s opinions in the very beginning of the series and the book, he was not that satisfied with all that was going on, but I might’ve gotten the wrong impression, as I said, this is what I saw when I watched it😄 Even though I don’t see it in the same way as you probably do, I respect you and I hope the last season will be good for the both os us!!!

I stopped watching after his death. He was my favourite character...All this build-up...Are you kidding me?? They could do so much with this character....they developed him...made us love him....and he dies senseless stupid death...Fuck this show....not that gut. Ich bin nicht zufrieden.

Guys, you missed the whole point of joe as a character, and possibly the whole point of the entire show if you don't understand why they killed him off in such a seemingly random and unexpected way. They needed a long and complex character development for joe to show you how easily Nazism can take somebody over, and how fast they can suffer the consequences for it despite who they were before. And that's what makes that scene incredibly powerful and unlike most other shows that stick to the standard formula. If you don't like it, it was never the right show for you and you should probably stick to shows where nothing ever bad or realistic happens.

What a great vid! Thank you so much for vidding them. Their relationship this season was very interesting...like I'm not sure how to explain it, but you captured that in your vid. Also I'm so upset over them and over Joe dying. Like, I have lots of FEEEELINGS about it, but I've been ranting about it basically since it happened (like for the past two weeks haha) so I won't rant on here too. I will say that I feel like Joe is going to come back (as much as I just want our Joe, I would be happy with anyone of them).

Yep. Because if he had returned at any point when he was given the opportunity before he swore in to basically be his father's right hand man he would have found out that Juliana was alive and his whole story would have changed. She inspired him to be a better man and when John Smith told him that she was dead he was a little lost after that and then he met his father in this vulnerable state and he was just doomed since then

O_o I thought the knife thing....Look you do what you gotta due, but geez, watching it was very uncomfortable as well. And I get that, you have these times that you wish they went in another direction, or developed the characters with more complex architecture. They really should have gone for a 5th season or further, I would have really liked to see a war to take back the world, if leaves us on such a convoluted, multi-interpretative ending which gave no one closure.

High Commander of Helghan Yeah, no, I agree. oh lol i didn’t mean I liked watching the knife scene though. i meant the whole betrayal thing and Juliana being the one to stop him. Not how it was done. Just the “poetic nature” of the scene, as i said. If they continued with the show and really explained the ending more, i would’ve liked that as well.
