Shoutout to Joe, one of the few that understands the game goes beyond the modes he play. I play most of the MyPlayer modes too, but also a ton of MyNBA so the ProPlay animations is definitely a feature that interests me. Two things I just wanted to note though. -You can cancel hop jumpers in 23 & 24, but the delay was so bad that it was useless (sure you of all people know this). I’m assuming they tuned it so you can break out at any point & DaCzar also confirmed that it’s not just exclusive to the right stick anymore, you can use square/X to cancel out of any jumpshots like we did back in 2K16 -I think right stick ripper is gone this year, Mike Wang said you won’t be able to reach while holding L2, right stick will mainly be those new cutoffs to get body up animations. You can only swipe with the right stick while not being in a defensive stance.

And stealing is always easier when you’re dribbling, just like IRL. That’s when the ball is vulnerable. That’s why taller people IRL just uses their shoulders to shield the defenders, to keep them at bay

Even IRL no matter how good of a defender you are they are not swiping 24/7. They will reach thyself out if the play. Most defenders rely in effort and cutting people off not going for steals. Most steals come from passing lanes or fumbled dribbles.

Bro this facts like idk what 2k has to do but if locks gonna always argue “I got high steal so I get 12 steals a game” like we invest alot of our builder points for high ball control and I feel they have to implement something in the dribbling that can counter the reach attempts or something. You literally have to be meta to get by locks and thats not even talking blitzes or press lol lockdown defense should be more about altering shots and cut offs more than spamming square IMO

The only way I see rhythm shooting being used online is for catch and shoot. I'm hoping it's something you can turn off. Same thing with the defensive movement thing. Using the right stick to do cutoffs is gonna be weird, and having to release L2 or LT to use the right stick to steal... I guess you could consider that skill required

@@TakeThe2s There is none.. its only Xbox or PS that can stop it. There's been zens on console since 2K17. They didn't get big until 2K20 though. Zens didn't really exist before 2K17, wasn't a big product or anything and 2K just wasn't a thought - it was mostly for CoD and Mortal Kombat.

One thing I can say that I like is the dribbling will have no pauses in between that’s the only new thing we’ll see and feel noticeably but it’s good as a start towards new shit for proplay to work I guess but the dribbling will be seemless this year based off what I’m seeing it’s hard to tell it’s too early need real gameplay

I won’t buy this game unless they’ve fixed and updated the MyNBA (MyGM) on PS5, starting with being able to communicate with Players; Staff; Owners; and the Media. Trust, Morale, and Chemistry needs to be fixed (using communication). We also need an updated Skill Tree that makes sense. College Football 25; Madden 25; EAFC25 are all improving their Career Modes. It's about time 2K did the same.
