That's one of Jane Seymour's 'history twists'. Of course they were on speaking terms, only from time to time they quarelled, I think because Jane wanted some better acting from Joe and she resented his claim that the success of the series was also thanks to him. Jane is quite a handful, if you ask me... Very talented lady, but you need to read the operating instructions first. Once you know her well enough, you'll know how to handle her...

It's 2022 many years has passed, I've started watching in 1993 but stopped when I gave birth to my son, I've only started binge watching a few months ago (Its better than the crap thats on now) And been reading up on the actors. That chemistry is so real and believable then and now. They both just weren't on the same level in life, her having to sort out her issues and him still finding his footing in life and obviously not ready for the kind of responsibility that comes with her. Eventually people change and grow (soulmates can't be apart forever? 😆 lol if you look for recent pictures of them together you'll see Joe doesn't wear his wedding ring ( you can't find very recent pics with his wife either) ... hmmmm this is only an assumption on my part... but if you listen to their interviews old and new that love tension shows !! and apparently they will be in a new movie this December "Christmas Spark" ... Perfectly Prudence seem to kinda be their story, falling in love, break up her starting a new relationship just after the break up / getting married... I'm a sucker for couples that truly love each other and that should be together instead of those that want to opt for the wrong reasons. Love is a beautiful feeling and it shouldn't be wasted and hidden... Jane and Joe just come out with it now... life is too short lol 😆 💘 William Shockley knows something we don't 😇😉

According to Jane Seymour (Joe never says anything on the subject), they never stopped loving each other. She calls him 'her best friend on the planet'. Let it be, folks, these people live in Hollywood where these things are a bit different from what we are used to... I guess Joe's wife knows what is going on (if anything is going on at least, we are not sure...) and she has to deal with that reality. Not our problem. Let's just enjoy the DQMW series and the amazing chemistry between these two actors... Let's leave them and their private lives alone.
