I could listen to Joe talk about trumpets and mouthpieces for hours. Thanks Jeff!

Thanks so much for posting this Jeff. What an important historical document for the trumpet world!!

Thanks! I hear Joe is not in good health and I need to call him and tell him to watch. I convinced him and several others to do their first multimedia presentations and they all did great.

The most expert talk about trumpets I have ever heard! What a cool guy!

Engineer here. This dude sounds like an old school engineer, not a salesman. Very refreshing, coming from so many mouthpiece producers focusing on the salesmanship so much (makes me distruct them a bit, tbh).

Several years ago, these horns were on the shelf at the downtown location of Tom Lee Music in Vancouver BC. It was kind of a miracle because Vancouver is a very consumerist, mainstream, Nike/Starbucks/Lulu Lemon kind of place. So I got to play the Rembrandt and Vermeer and really liked them. I hope they start making them again.

It used to say on their website that they don't make instruments anymore. It doesn't say that anymore. Have they resumed making them?

I saw that. I should call them I know Joe was sick and they were only doing mouthpieces at one point.

Is there a video where you talk about what makes the CG horns distinct from other horns out there?

There is audio of that on my site. Claude talks about it several times. Look here and listen with a free account. www.purtle.com/claude-gordon-archives

Joe used to show up and play the lead book in Don Ellis' band. Holy shit, what a powerhouse! I have about a dozen of his mouthpieces, wouldn't play anything else.

I’m glad I was able to salvage the video and post this.

I kind of disagree with him on Stainless Steel being cold and hard to warm up, I'd say just the opposite.

No problem. Are you a machinist? I am not so I had Joe Marcinkiewicz do that lecture. I hope you got something out of it.
