Melissa seems like the only likable one on that RHONJ bunch. And one this I can say about Joe Gorga, that man seems to really LOVE his wife. He still acts like they are in the honeymoon period and like she’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, which is how it should be. I honestly believe that Teresa’s issue with Melissa was that she was jealous of the adoration Joe gave Melissa because even before all this FBI/criminal shit went down, Joe Giudice never fawned over Teresa that way.

Yes, it is a better life for sure. And in real life she is a lot without Teresa. But for even being on the show in the first place and keeping her place, she is only there because of Teresa! Even now, in the high lights the only drama they have (drama is what keeps them a spot) is the one she has with Teresa. And as you can see, they’re only asked about them and very little about themselves. It’s the truth!

But keep in mind that the highest rated episodes and season were the year that Joe and Melissa joined the cast. The fight Teresa was having with her own family was the most watched storyline of all the season. So, although I agree Teresa generally carries the show, her fight with her brother and sister-in-law brought in the highest ratings, because it was the most "real" of the storylines Also, the audience likes the Gorgas. They are the only constant, stable presence in a show of crazies. So one could argue that the show needs them as a balance.

Good cast. Yes, Teresa is terribly jealous of Melissa, but I'll bet that Melissa rubs it in her face that she is just a little spoiled, with no criminal record to boot.
