Two other Joe Nichols songs that are my favorite are "I'll Wait For You" and "If Nobody Believed in You". I've had a strange/sad experience with "I'll Wait For You" when I was a teen. It was January of 2007 during a bad ice storm in Oklahoma. My aunt got badly sick suddenly and went to the hospital where they discovered that she had cancer. We had to cut through fences, fields, woods, and fallen trees, just so we could get out of our rural area and visit her at the hospital in Tulsa. We were in a slick 4x4 Chevy truck that my dad just bought off of our uncle like a week prior with his income tax money that he just got. On one of our visits, the truck got stolen out of the hospital parking lot. Took the cops over an hour to show up and take a report. Dad hadn't gotten insurance on it yet, and we never recovered the truck. So my uncle at the hospital let us use one of his cars. We stayed at the hospital for a long time, and my uncle finally talked my parents into going back home, which was about 45 minutes to an hour drive. Literally as we pull up to the house, he calls us and says that she's suddenly gotten worse. So we immediately start driving back to Tulsa. As we're getting close to entering Tulsa, "I'll Wait For You" by Joe Nichols comes on to the radio. So it made me think of my aunt's situation as I was staring out of my window at the pretty orange sunset.. Then immediately after the song ends, my uncle calls again and lets my parents know that she had just passed. Don't know how to explain how strange it was to me for that song to play during that specific time. Her and my uncle had been together since they were teens in high school.

Hi guys, thanks for this reaction. I wasn’t sure about this Whiskey, because the colour looked so light and it wasn’t really expensive. I think it cost 52 Euros that’s like $56. But you like high proof and I thought I provide something with higher proof this time. yes everything over 110 proof and I make a face too. Most of the elderly have probably forgotten about safe sexual practices, or they just no longer care since they expect to be dying soon. It’s bleak either way. Before she passed at 90, my maternal grandmother was friendly with a 70-something man. She adamantly swore they never had sex. I don’t know if I believe her. Then again, she told me she only continued sleeping with my grandfather because she wanted a bunch of kids. Which she got. So who knows.

, I know my last one was when I was in Mexico with a friend of mine and we was at an all inclusive resort that 4 or 5 bars in it that when one closed another opened for 24 hour coverage . Well my friend Donna decided it would be fun to do tequila shots for the a full 24 hours . Let’s just say it is really really smooth there and I didn’t feel any alcohol effects until I stood up and then I couldn’t feel anything at all lol and after puking on the beach and a short nap on the beach I slept in the bathtub

I had just finished commenting and I was about to click to send comment when the power blinked out briefly and my comment was lost. LOL. That has happened three times lately. I may need a drink if it keeps up. I have been waiting for you guys to react to this - Grandma was the life of the party. Imagine her back in the day. I bet more than one song has been written about her. The office party story is funny. About 15 years ago I worked for a man who was a millionaire many, many, many times over. However, when it came to the holiday party, he opted to have it on a Tuesday rather than a Saturday because it saved him six hundred dollars. And the stipulation was, if you attended the Tuesday party you had to be at work Wednesday or get written up. He paid for one drink per person and then we were on our own, so free booze in no way justifies what happened next. I went to the party saying I would have two drinks max because we had work the next day, but somehow, pre party, we ended up at a place known for their 2 for 1 drinks. I had my two drinks there but at the party I figured I couldn’t allow a free drink to go to waste. You can guess where this is going…I went way past the limit I had set for myself. This was 15 years ago. To this day, no idea what happened to my shoes - I have no memory of taking them off. I apparently danced. And when I say I danced, think Elaine from Seinfeld…it is a scary sight. I also ended up with three Christmas Tree ornaments off the tree in the hotel lobby and I found out I had those because one of the guys lifted them for me after I gushed about how they were ‘so pretty’ in my drunken state. In the light of day and somewhat sober, I can assure you they were not pretty, but I still have one. And the business the guy owned? A car dealership that focused mainly on a very popular car brand. I worked in the service department and did my best to schedule as few appointments as possible for the day after the party because I knew all the mechanics would be hungover. And that’s just what you want, right? A guy so hungover he’s seeing double working on your car? I hope whoever found the shoes liked them.

All of us single ladies start to gather up in what always seems like a cluster of desperation. I said to my friend something like, let's go and get this over with. So damn loudly, she says, "I don't want to catch that damn thing. I don't want to be trapped in a marriage like all the miserable people here." Yep. Our table and the table on either side of us went silent and I just said, "She's drunk." The next day she was like, tell me I had a nightmare, and I didn't say that. I felt bad for her, but it was nice not to be the one making a fool of myself. Lessons have been learned, but damn, an open bar is an invitation for disaster.
