So much goes by in everyday life that it seems to take a lot to makes us appreciate the people who are truly gifts to us. Coach Paterno and his wife Sue are two such people. Their enormous love for Penn State and their community helped thousands of students, touched countless lives, and made all us so proud of them. The sweet sadness of all of this is that even through all the pain he endured at the end, a great man never stopped loving and giving to the place he called home for over 60 years.

Joe, thank you for everything!!! I still remember our party walking downtown in a snowstorm after the Fiesta Bowl in '87 and tackling a friend on a snow covered College Ave. that eve (we brought the football, ya know!);). What a celebration, like Times Square on New Years Eve. Wish I was there for the service and stadium light up. I know you saw it... Thanks man I am proud to be a PENN STATER!!!!!!

Joe Paterno inspired my older brother to play football, he was the reason he pushed himself so hard this past season to try to get a scholarship for Penn State. Sadly my brother can't play football anymore(medical reasons), but he is still going to Penn State wearing a shirt that says Joe Pa forever on it. Joe was a coach like no other and Penn State will never be the same. I just hope this upcoming season the kick some butt in his memory. RIP. A true legend.

And then that is when I remember that they have nothing better to do with their lives but sit here and talk bad about a great man they didn't even know. This is the last comment before I go back to my productive life (instead of wasting my time commenting on videos) - something that Joe taught me how to lead through hard work and dedication. RIP Joe. You were human, and made mistakes just as we all do. We can learn a great deal from your life if we look at both the good and the bad.
