I always learn something knew listening to Weinstein. The biggest concept I got from this interview: The gatekeepers push their own narrative through “authoritative sources. Most of us, including our major institutions (education, military, healthcare industry), look to these guys for information in making important life decisions. They want us to believe what they are saying is true in order to get us to do what they want. The general population and institutions often know the narrative is nonsense, but the gatekeepers continue pretending it’s the truth because the institutions need to base their decisions on something. First thing that comes to mind is the capitalism, socialism nonsense. It's so obvious the elites don't believe what they are saying. Look how Trump continues practicing socialism when it comes to farmers, the opioid crisis, and now he wants to bail out the oil industry during an economic downturn. It's only socialism when some poor minority or immigrant receives food stamps from the taxpayers. But anytime some rich company needs a bailout, they use the excuse "to save jobs."

Lord Baphomet - Faulty scaleability of centralization makes perfect sense scientifically. Humans can only develop up to ~140 people in relationship (average). Attempting to control mass numbers by relatively few people has never worked without imposing some type of force. @Lord Baphomet Actually, it's exactly how capitalism works, excessive CEO bonuses aside. It's natural selection applied to companies. When people like us decide which companies flourish and which companies die. We've collectively chosen Walmart, we were never forced to give them billions, we chose to. The only exceptions to this are industries with monopolies, like the internet.

It was just a ploy to get votes. He had no plan or strategy in place to counter globalization and woo or persuade these corporations back to USA. Trump never had a strategy for anything. But even if this was a president who did earn a college degree on his own and knew how to read, reversing globalization trends and finding ways to keep these companies here and keeping them using us labor forces needed to be done years and decades ago.
@nathanbruce19924 жыл бұрын
If he truly cared he wouldn't have pulled out of the already drafted TPP which would have done much more to reduce that dependency. He likes to appearance of him reducing our dependency on china, while hampering actual long term solutions that would achieve that in favor of short term and heavy handed tariffs that give him the appearance of being 'strong on china'. Basically the TPP established trade deals with everyone in asia except for china so it reduced tariffs between these nations (making it cheaper for everyone to buy from us and each other, and more expensive to buy from china). Its the carrot approach vs tariffs which is the stick (and which only will last a set amount of time) It frustrates me when people give Trump credit for being hard on China when he hampered the efforts already underway that would have done much more for a longe period of time.
@nordstram28544 жыл бұрын
@@nathanbruce1992 Japan has implemented it's own version of the TPP as a counterbalance to China, might be worth looking that up to understand what's happened since it was rejected by Trump.
