Since I started listening to Jordan Peterson in 2017, I earned a STEM degree from a top 5 University in the field, raised my salary by 600%, advanced through 4 jobs, switched my career, and fixed my marriage. I took the heaviest rock I could lift and lifted it. Thanks Dr. Peterson. To all the cynics in the comments, your snark only prevents you from fixing your own lives. Taking off his shoes is a sign of his willingness to transform? OK, sure maybe but you don't know that beyond your idea that's what it might be. It's somewhat interesting to listen to once but then it's just the same thing recycled. I donhave respect for JP but the fact he says it like its established Canon is what gets me. There was a moment in my life that nothing made sense, a Sunday morning , I was into another episode of depression, I started looking online, for some help, while navigating the web, I saw a video of a guy talking about some rules for life, everything he said resonated with me, I literally started cleaning my room, of course it was not dirty, but I opened the drawers and start putting away things,I did the same with my papers, pictures, my drawings, letters and birthday cards that I had in my closet for years…tearfully I understood what he meant, since that day my life is different I took control of my actions, and saw everything good that I had around me, but mainly what can I do to make my life better, I will be forever grateful to Dr. Peterson.

Contrary to what Peterson said the concept of hierarchies inherently creates power imbalances and inequalities that tend to produce victims: 1. Hierarchies of suffering and victimhood exist, where some victims are seen as more deserving of sympathy and support than others. This creates a status hierarchy among victims themselves[3]. 2. Media representations reinforce hierarchies by portraying certain groups of women as "worthy" or "unworthy" victims, often along racial and class lines. This perpetuates systemic inequalities[4]. 3. Even attempts to eliminate victims from some hierarchies, like the "Zero Inclusion Victim" cache design, still acknowledge the existence of victims in the original hierarchy that needed to be addressed[1]. 4. Hierarchies in evolution and nested classifications can produce "victims" in the form of organisms that lose traits or are outcompeted[2]. 5. The very concept of victimhood is tied to status and power dynamics in international relations and society[3]. While it may be theoretically possible to envision a perfectly egalitarian system, in practice hierarchies tend to produce winners and losers, dominant and subordinate groups, and by extension, victims

Peterson is the only person I’ve ever heard give an accurate, comprehensive, and truthful interpretation of the biblical stories. I believe he’s able to do this largely because he isn’t claiming to be a pastor or a spiritual guru or anyone claiming to have all the answers. He’s just trying to aim upward and help other people do the same, just like Jesus did.
@PUALI572 ай бұрын
Agree! If you like his interpretations, you might also want to look into Paramahansa Yogananda's reading of the New Testament: The Second Coming of Christ. Mind blowing.
@waxpusherАй бұрын
I would say that he is approaching everything from a purely intellectual perspective through the lens of psychology. I think that only gets you so far in a journey towards understanding Christ and even coming to him in belief. That's from the heart.
@PUALI57Ай бұрын
@@waxpusher Yes. Communion with Christ and the Divine comes through the heart's devotion. In meditation / contemplation we can reach those higher states of cosciousness where the mind chatter ceases and the peace of God be revealed. As Jesus says: "The kingdom of God is rigt within you."
