Being kind, loving, caring, funny or helping but be careful about how you do these things, there's weak ways of loving for example (begging your loved one to stay when they want to leave is EXTREMELY WEAK for example. You need to know when to leave)

@@matterasmachine and if there are no laws or jails what then? It's the BS tough guy. "be a warrior" mentality that is toxic. Why does the level of aggression you express equate to "strength"? For me, the best embodiment of true masculinity is Aragorn from The Lord of The Rings. He is a warrior, a strong man, a leader but at the same time he is compassion, emotional, and vulnerable, and you can see it through the movie. True masculinity is all about balance.

Absolutely! Toxic masculinity workshops are appearing across university campuses. How wonderful! I’m sure I’ve seen more than a few recent male attendees of these ideological sessions. How do I know? Well, ‘a tell’ is that the young male, apparently healthy, is proudly wearing his face diaper! I’ve seen quite a number of these young males wearing the mask of cowardice, while their girl friends are not!! (I actually cringe in vicarious shame…) Whatever problems these males may have, masculinity, toxic or otherwise, is clearly not one of them. Men, from time immemorial, have been called upon to risk, and often lose, their lives in the defence of home and family. These males…? Not a chance. Yes, it is true that masculinity can become toxic. Excluding psychopaths, which can have a huge genetic component, masculinity, all too frequently, becomes toxic when boys don’t have a stable father figure in their lives. It takes men to teach boys how to be men. Most boys, very early after puberty, are bigger and physically stronger than their mothers. A father is able to snap that young man’s leash in a way most mothers can’t. In suburbia, these fatherless boys all too frequently end up as little, panty waisted, sissies. Like the face-diaper wearing males, discussed above. Just what is this ‘detoxified male’ going to do when some aggressive hoodlum starts harassing his wife? My guess, as she’s being sexually assaulted, he’ll be calling the police after running away… You see, he really doesn’t know, his job is to fight off the attack, allowing his wife to escape. Yup, he may get seriously hurt or killed. That’s what it means to be a man. And no, not all males are men. In the inner city, fatherless young men, all too frequently, join violent gangs of criminal thugs. It’s no mystery why the inner city is so crime ridden. The number 1 cause of death for a young black man is death by young black man. These young men don’t have fathers in their lives… Hope you’ll check out my book “Deconstructing Social Justice”. I discuss this issue at length, with the data.

If people are confused about this, let me just say this. If you think it's okay to be weak, so be it. But think about this. Someone has to protect the weak. But how do you that? Well, in order to be strong, you must first be weak. When people say you have to be strong, they don't mean be strong now. It could take more than a decade to be your strongest. Start now, and you won't regret it.

It's better to be a thick-skinned savage with a big heart and an open mind. Like every emotion, there's a place for sensitivity. I think boys and men should be more tapped into their emotions but to be walking around in that state of constant fragility is not what we should be teaching boys. If you cannot control how you feel and react to life's slings and arrows, you won't get far.

Its better to be gardener in the war because you at least know for what you fight and what you protect. For warrior garden is just source of food and that what dont makes him strong because if all the ambitions of seeking power fail if he counter stronger foe that he couldnt even imagine he would just surrender. Because all he believed was a brutal strength concept that now fell down. Gardener at least die in fight knowing if he fail his garden will be destroyed so death isnt the highest threat to him. I rather be a gardener in a war. Without adequate flow of food supply, the warriors would starve in no time. A gardener has much better knowledge to resume a civilization and be part of the economy. That's in modern times where people are aware of economic forces. I rather be a warrior than a gardener 5,000 years ago, though, becausee economic concepts were not established and thriving civilization depended on warriors forcefully and physically taking essentials from weaker warriors. We are at the point of no return. Western philosophy has infected almost every corner of the world, and as a result, the value of warriors have greatly diminished. Side not... we dont have warriors. We got soldiers, police, and emergency health service.

You ron’t have to be a monster and if Joe would look up what the warrior code of conduct talks about he would be surprised: Integrity, respect, heroin courage, honor, comparison, honesty and sencerity, duty and loyalty. Rogan, Peterson, the entire MMA roster, Liver King, Andrew Tate and all the clown that take steroids, and larp video game characters while living on the weakends in the woods are nit warriors and have nothing in common with what a man should be. There is a great poem by Kipling he dedicated to his son where he describes what a man should be called „if” If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream-and not make dreams your master; If you can think-and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’ If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And-which is more-you’ll be a Man, my son!

we don't live in war times anymore, we are getting further and further away from that time and it's a good thing, in reality men don't need to fight but it's just that we live in that age where men have become corrupt, which is called Kali Yuga in Hinduism. Why does war need to exist in the first place? I know it sounds ideal and utopic, but why do we need to expect war? Why can't we find peace and just live with that mentality? Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, we need to be prepare, to know how to calm ourselves in stressfull situations and all, but that's completely different to preparing for war. In war, you need to be merciless, do inhuman things, later, if you have empathy, you will regret doing what you did, knowing there was no other choice. As humans, we survive; as people, we empathize.

It is not seen as a virtue being weak. It is seen as a virtue to accept your limitations. If you can do that, you are strong. If you are too afraid to admit when you're wrong, too scared to give up an ounce of control to back down, too worried about how others see you to let down your facade, then you truly are weak.

Both of those sayings are stupid and reductive. First, everyone has different aspirations and those "monsters" who are billionaires now honestly all look incredibly unhappy. I wouldn't want Elon Musk's or Jeff Bezos' life. And a warrior in a garden? Who made the garden? The gardener. Who gets sent to war first? The warrior. And lets be real, wars are fought for rich people's interests nearly exclusively these days so that warrior just died so someone could make more oil money. Wow what a life.

Nothing in particular. What people like Jordan Peterson are saying is that if you act like a pacifist, but don't have the will or strength to be anything other than a pacifist, that just makes you weak. True pacifists are people with the capability to not be a pacifist, yet they choose that path regardless. I don't necessarily agree with this, but I guess it makes sense from a certain perspective.

@@DEADtoRISE08 what he saying is a pacifist is a pacifist and there is nothing wrong with that at all. Some men are just weakling and the majority of pacifists are. The point is most pacifists are not against war and violence bc they actually disagree with it, they are pacifists bc they are weak, scared and incapable of being a warrior, so by default they identify as pacifist - many times to hide thier weakness. "I'm avoiding conflict bc I'm a pacifists. Reality is you're a pacifists because you are too weak to be anything else." And being a pacifists is okay. But the is nothing virtuous about it at face value. Just being a pacifist isn't virtuous in any capacity, as many pacifists think. What is virtuous is having the ability to defend fight, conquer, destroy and kill and rule over others - but then having the discipline to control that and choose peace over violence. That's when being a pacifist can be viewed as virtuous. If youre a pus*y and a pacifist, you're just a pus*y (which hides behind the title of pacifist.) But if you're a warrior and a pacifist, then that holds virtue and shows your ability to choose peace; Not because you have no other option but because you have the ability to conquer but you choose not to bc you believe in peace. Both identify and are pacifists - the pu*sy and the warrior - but only the warrior who chose peace hold virtue and not the pus*y has no other options.

I support the logic but how is it useful to be a warrior in a garden? Neither is useful. Yes there might be war. But there also might be bad weather and you can’t manage crops for food. Bad analogy
@shymebc
@shymebc Жыл бұрын
Warriors can weather a storm. A gardener is reliant on a good condition. Who’s more prepared…also clearly it implies to be a warrior…so why even try to poke wholes in the gardener’s position 😂 Also if push comes to shove the warrior will just take your crops…because might makes right in that situation.
@shanee6607
@shanee6607 Жыл бұрын
He is talking figuratively about your mindset. Both can be professional gardeners but one is scared of conflict and freezes up and can't react or defend themselves and are too scared to even try ao they surrender, while the other is quick to react naturally bc they process fear easily and are not scared and have the courage ti stay and fught to protect thier garden. We are talking warrior mindset, not just a foot soldier trained to kill. ✈️ 🙄 That's the point if this going over your head
